  • Does the dryer vent cleaning make a mess of the laundry area?

No. Actually it’s just the opposite. The area is cleaner after the technician finishes than when he started. All of the lint is contained in our high powered vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter to keep all the lint and dust inside the vacuum. The area behind the dryer is also cleaned as part of the service.

  • How long does the cleaning take?

We like to estimate a standard cleaning job to take about 60 minutes average. But most projects will range between 1 hour and 1.5 hours depending on the service of the project. Additional time could be added for other repairs.

  • My dryer is taking 2 or 3 cycles to dry. Is it my dryer or the dryer vent?

If the dryer is getting warm and not drying your clothes efficiently, most of the time cleaning the dryer vent will solve the problem. The air is staying in the dryer vent and inside the dryer instead of being exhausted. The lint build up in the vent is not letting the dryer push the air through the vent to the outside.

  • Does someone need to be home for the cleaning?

Yes. Getting inside to the laundry area assures that the dryer vent is cleaned from there all the way to termination. Also the inside of the dryer is cleaned (without taking the dryer apart), the area behind the dryer is cleaned, and the transition tube from the dryer to the wall is changed, or replaced if needed.

Between 2006 and 2010, clogged dryer vents were directly responsible for 92% of all house fires caused by laundry machines
