Hi! Welcome to my website. My name is Matt Benas and I am the owner and operator of The Dryer Vent Cleaner. I started this business after learning how dangerous a clogged dryer vent can be. I have extensive experience in cleaning many different types of dryer vents including 1, 2 & 3 Story houses, condo's and apartments, as well as mobile homes, townhomes, and businesses.

The Dryer Vent Cleaner strives to provide the best service to our clients and their dryer vent systems. We do this for our clients armed with integrity, professionalism, experience, and education. As for the vent systems we provide extremely thorough cleanings which include inspecting and testing the system with the use of proper and professional equipment to ensure a clean, efficient and safe dryer vent.

About Derek
Derek is from Long Beach NY but has been in South Florida over 10 years now. He started his first few years working in high end flooring then spent the last 10 as a department supervisor in retail where he developed excellent customer service and leadership skills.
Derek joined our Dryer Vent Cleaning family in July 2018. He’s gone through extensive training with owner, Matt Benas, and always puts the customer first.
When he’s not cleaning dryers, he enjoys spending time with his family and two daughters.

Matt grew up in upstate New York and worked with his father throughout high-school and college in carpentry, construction and custom woodworking. In addition, he worked with the family property management business, taking care and maintaining their rental properties. That included, sometimes, painting, lawn care, and assisting with general maintenance.
He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in business and marketing from Green Mountain College. Soon after college, Matt worked in sales and property management.
During his time in property management, Matt found that dryer issues weren’t being properly addressed and therefore, leaving dryers performing poorly or, worse, malfunctioning altogether. As a result, he soon found, the vent systems were to blame. After intensive research, Matt discovered the main cause of home fires were due to improper cleaning or servicing of these systems.

Fast forward to 2010, Matt found himself diving head first into this industry of cleaning dryer vents with inception of The Dryer Vent Cleaner, and have since serviced thousands of dryer vents - saving many families time and frustration.
Needless to say, The Dryer Vent Cleaner has a passionate team behind the name and many years of experience in the industry. They are a company you can trust for life of your dryer vents.
About Colleen
Colleen was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She is the youngest of six children. She received her bachelors degree in Film and Media Arts from Temple University in Philadelphia and her masters degree in Film Producing and music business from NYU in New York City.
She has worked in customer service most of her life. She moved to Florida and worked in the corporate world for a number of years where she handled customer accounts and bookkeeping.
She has always enjoyed the customer service aspect of her career. It was only a natural move for her to leave her corporate job and work with her husband Matt to help grow the family business. She has been with the company since August 2015. Colleen is the office manager for The Dryer Vent Cleaner. She is the friendly voice that will explain what we do and how we can help solve your dryer vent issues.
